The Gulf of Chiriquí: Panama’s Premier Fishing Destination
The Gulf of Chiriquí is renowned as one of the world’s most prolific sportfishing regions. Its unique geography—marked by deep-water seamounts, nutrient-rich upwellings, and over 200 islands—creates a year-round haven for trophy fish and adventurous anglers.

The proximity of these hotspots means less time running and more time fishing. Our fast, comfortable boats make even the furthest banks accessible for a full day’s adventure.
What You Can Catch and When
The Gulf of Chiriquí offers an extraordinary variety of gamefish, with different species peaking at various times of the year. Whether you dream of battling a 700-pound marlin, chasing schools of yellowfin tuna, or landing a trophy roosterfish, our waters deliver.
December–April (Dry Season): Prime time for marlin (black and blue), sailfish, and roosterfish. Calm seas and clear blue water make for ideal offshore conditions.
March–July: Peak yellowfin tuna season, with massive schools and topwater action. Wahoo and dorado are also abundant.
May–November (Green Season): Strong inshore bite for snapper, roosterfish, and amberjack. Offshore, dorado and wahoo thrive along floating debris and trash lines. Occasional marlin and sailfish remain present.
July–October: Bonus: Humpback whale sightings in the Gulf, adding a spectacular wildlife element to your trip.

Guest Testimonials and Social Proof
“From pickup at the airport till we said goodbye, we were treated wonderfully. The property consists of a main lodge/restaurant/bar, pool, and separate cabanas. After getting settled, we hit the pool for an afternoon of sun and cold drinks. We caught everything from sailfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna, cubera snapper, rock snapper, and roosterfish. Food at the lodge was definitely a treat. We had so much fun on this trip, we are headed back with a group of 12 next time. Can’t wait!”
— Joey, Louisiana
“The cabins all face the ocean and are super comfortable and spotlessly clean, with ample AC and hot water, and a lovely front porch with comfy chairs. The pool was refreshing, and the hammocks down by the beach were perfect for an afternoon siesta. The food was all freshly prepared and super tasty. Absolutely loved this place!”
